Short info

The NDP is a consumer NAS device produced by Freecom. It is more than just a NAS device, it is also a HTTP, FTP and SSH server to name a few. It is small, light, and unobtrusive.

  • Spin-up HDD/startup
    • Between xxW and xxW for IDE disks (All present models, depending on size of HDD)
    • Between 30W and 40W for Sata disks (Depending on size of HDD)
  • Idle - Around 17W, or ~11W if the hard drive has been spun down & 9W when off but still connected to power outlet
  • In use - approx 20W except in extreme cases
  • With attached USB devices - Depending on the amount of devices and the amount of power used. Power supply rated 2A (at 12V)(24W).
