Install Unrar

This describes how to install the ipkg package Unrar.

unrar is an application that can decompress files and archives created using the RAR compression scheme.

This documentation was created for this environment:

• FSG-3 with Firmware version: 3.3.14
• unrar version 3.6.8-2

System Requirements

• Ipkg installer
• SSH access to FSG-3
• Access to superuser root

Actions

The name of the package is unrar.

• Connect to your FSG-3 with your favourite terminal application.
• Switch to superuser root and enter password.

# su

• Update the list of available packages on your FSG-3

# ipkg update

• Install package unrar.

# ipkg install unrar

The package for Unrar is downloaded to your FSG and installed automatically. Any other required packages are downloaded and installed also automatically.
